After all, these are natural materials mined from the earth, and thousands of years of geologic formation give gemstones their unique characteristics. We cannot reasonably expect for any item to be perfect, and our clients should be aware that Gemphora deals in natural beauty, superb value, excellent quality, but not in perfection.
No item will look precisely the same in person as it does on your computer screen. We take dozens of photos of each item and select only the images that most accurately illustrate the true nature of the article. We ask that you please keep in mind that computer monitors vary and that a color's true nuanced hues and tones look a bit different when you compare a three dimensional object with a pixilated image.
Gemstones receive treatments, which are industry standard. Since most gemstones are treated, you should expect that your selections have been enhanced for beauty and/or durability. Treatments are not the enemy of gemstones, nor are they novel by any means. Cut stones and beads alike have been treated for hundreds, if not for thousands, of years.
Generally, the price shown is for one strand of beads. We may present a photo of several strands from the lot in order to show variety or similarity. While a photo may depict several strands, the given price is for one strand selected from the lot.
Sometimes we offer loose beads in sets of say, five or ten. In this case, we will clearly indicate the number of beads per set, and the beads will be shipped unstrung.
Return Policy:
Please email us for a return authorization number. Returns must be received within 15 days. A 10% restocking fee will be assessed. Shipping and handling is not refundable.
We must receive your returned item in its original form. For example, you may not take apart a strand of beads and return the loose beads unstrung. Please pack your item with some bubble wrap or other suitable padding. Do not forget to include identifying information so that we know to whom we should direct the refund.
We suggest you return the item using USPS First Class Mail with Delivery Confirmation. It is wise to insure your parcel, as we cannot issue a refund for items we do not receive. Shipping and handling is not refundable.
